Smith & Wesson

S&W Mk22 Mod 0:

The "Hush Puppy" is a silenced, 9mm semiautomatic pistol specially manufacturered for the U.S. Navy by Smith & Wesson. Made of stainless steel (to resist saltwater-induced corrosion), it is fitted with an integral silencer and slide lock. When fired with the slide locked (to prevent the clank of the recoiling slide) using subsonic 9mmP ammunition, the only sound is the hammer dropping. With the slide locked, it can only be fired once, then the slide must be manually worked to eject the spent round and recock. The pistol comes with a special holster designed to hold the weapon with the silencer affixed (included in the cost). As a rule, the Mk22 Mod 0 was meant to be used with special subsonic ammunition. It can fire standard 9mmP rounds, but these can damage the silencer and render it uneffective. For each non subsonic 9mmP round fired from the pistol roll a 1D10; on the roll of 0, the silencer is permanently ruined.
