IMR-2 Obstacle Clearing Vehicle
This vehicle is based on the T-72 chasis. Mounted on the hull front is a
articulating bulldozer blade, and the vehicle also has a telescoping crane
arm (able to use a number of attachments) that can lift up to 25 meteric tons..
The vehicle is NBC protected.
Identical in purpose to it's predessor, the IMR, the IMR-2 is designed
for heavy construction work and vehicle recovery. The vehicle is well
known for being reliable in extreme conditions. Some field experimenting
occurs with this vehicle, and it is said that the crane's lift capactiy
can be increased to 30 meteric tons- in the hands of a good mechanic with
the right supplies.

BAT-M Route Clearing Vehicle
The BAT-M is the older version of the BAT-2,
based on the AT-T heavy artillery tractor. It has a cable-operated,
two-section adjustable bulldozer blade. The blade uses a hydraulic
operating mechansim, and has a rotary crane mounted in the bed of
the vehicle's backside. The blade of the vehicle is cabable of moving
earth at a rate of 200 to 250 meters per hour. The crane's capacity
is a meager 8 tons, having been refitted due to lack of power
(previous limit was 2 tons) throughout the 90's.
The vehicle can travel up to 35 kilometers per hour, but many saavy
Soviet mechanics have pushed the speed a little higher. To most
engineer's, the BAT-M is a steady workhorse who offers a challenge:
a challenge of obsolence or upgradability. It isn't all together
rare to find an engineer or soldier with a story how this vehicle
saved thier platoon's life.
The vehicle can quickly get underway in an emergency- taking less
than 3 minutes for a two man crew to get it going. It has a limited
filtration system that allows for operation in areas with less than
200 RADS, for no more than 1 hour. The time of occupation increases
as the RAD level decreases.
