Have anybody try it? - I would like to hear how it > works. > Yes I've done it with a P75 laptop, a monitor, and a stereo. I drew maps in photoshop, put the labels as a seperate layer (individual layers can be hidden, so i hide labels from players) and with seperate layers for players and NPCs (blue for good guys, red for bad, green for bystanders). When I want to show them something I merely make maximize it and and turn the vga-out on the laptop on. It shows up on the monitor (it would be interesting to have a projector but extremely expensive :) ). The stereo is for sounds, which I haven't perfected yet (the sounds load very slowly with photoshop and word open). Over all it works better, I no longer lose adventure information under the couch or with the NPC sheets from five years ago, etc. Also players can't look at the information when I'm gone because I can just unplug it and take it with me. And of course I can always play warcraft when things get dull :) - -- ([-[Peter Vieth]-) (-[fitek@ix.netcom.com]-) (-[http://www.netcom.com/~fitek]-) *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe twilight2000' as the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jun 1999 01:08:45 +0200 From: "Ronald A" Subject: Re: I am starting to make new autofire rules. The suppliments and adventures are still out there, finding them isn't easy but patience pays off. Won't be Tantalus at this rate, they've had the rights for awhile and are more interested in developing it for software games or selling the rights to someone else. Have you tried Sentrybox in Canada? I have ordered a lot of out of print stuff from them and they seem to have decent range (about 30 titles), they have no problems shipping as far as Australia. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe twilight2000' as the body of the message. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe twilight2000' as the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Jun 1999 15:52:15 -0400 From: "Dwight Looney" Subject: Re: hi > > cell-66 Toronto wrote: > > > there are two or three lost behind enemy lines who > > still think the game is on. > > Heh... there's more than that I think, based on the number of different > websites and the mailings list, not to mention the webrpg... Plus almost all of the online sites and PBEM's (of which only 2 are active that I know of). And half the sites are putting new stuff regularly. > > i think the loss of the game has hurt it some, but not > > as much as it could have. my problem is i have the main book and > > the soviet vehicile guide. i wanted the small arms, nato and u.s > > guides. but got in right at the end. my players wanted more gear to > > chose from than i have available. but it is still a great game. > > hopefully a company will one day pick it up. > The suppliments and adventures are still out there, finding them isn't easy but > patience pays off. A list of resellers, used book dealers, and auctions. Ebay always has books (cept they crashed late last week). I think as long as we keep talkin about it they'll keep selling them. Unlike Morrow Project and Aftermath. (Scarce as hens teeth). I have an extra copy of the Small Arms Guide ($10+postage) and the Module Allegheny Uprising ($7+postage). Plus most of the sites have new gear, weapons and vehicles. Check out mine and Tim's Page http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Cauldron/6540/ (watch his fonts might bite ya). SIGH Yeah but thier being REAL nice not sicking the lawyers on us for just talkin' about it. As long as we don't try to rewrite the rule books and modules we can still have fun with it. Did I mention they were REAL nice (hopin' their listenin') *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe twilight2000' as the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Jun 1999 13:23:10 -0700 From: Ron Hale Subject: Re: hi ignatius wrote: I am new to this list. But, anyone who can help, please do. I am trying to find topographical maps of the different nations in the area around Poland, including Poland.
