There are many coast/river cities too. Lets think that crew of that ship is escaped from mental hospital, and the Captain think that he is Napoleon or somelike. As payback, I decided to have a group of Fey Folk (pixies, sprites, you get the picture) Start messing with thier gear as they stood in the middle of a forest trail argueing about who was on pointand exactly how far out ahead they should ride. A quick Alertness Roll (1/2 of Rolemasters Observation) got there attention when they saw the mess left behind. A Observation roll (the other half aka a diliberate search) pointed out that obious items were not where they should be. Then he would help them by taking out people from the inside. With the agreed upon time for an attack approaching, the PC (who was only allowed an AKR and one clip at the time) knew he needed more firepower and decided to break into the armoury. The armoury was right across from the barracks and a bathroom. He couldn't force the door to the armoury open. Just then an officer walked into the bathroom, and the PC knew the officers had the keys. So he pulled out his pistol and jumped into the bathroom behind the officer. The officer turned around and had not finished saying "What the hell" when the PC punched him. The officer landed on the toilet (actually just a hole in a box) and kicked the pistol out of the PC's hand. The two struggled while outside one of the soldiers waited, wondering what was going on in the bathroom. The PC managed to get the officer into the toilet from his waist up but the officer kept kicking him in the face and he could not find the key in his pocket. Instead he pulled out some miscellaneous items. When he finally found the keys they dropped into the toilet. By now the officer was dead, and all the soldier outside heard was sloshing and cursing as the PC searched for the keys. He knocked on the door: "Need any help in there?" The PC wondered what to do with the officer, and decided to stuff him into the toilet. He finally finished, and flung the door open. The soldier stood wide-eyed at the scene: the entire bathroom was a mess and the PC was almost dripping. All the PC did was nonchalantly light a cigarette. Then he lit up one more match inside the bathroom and placed the others in the breast pocket of the soldier: "Here, buddy, you might need these." The 75 metres is with the scope. 7.62mm rifles have 75 without and 90 metres with scope. The OICW 5.56mm is from H&K so it should be good quality. The M16A2 has a range of 55 metres, so I'm guessing the basic rifle part of the OICW will be as accurate and probably better. Perhaps I should rate the OICW as 55 metres without scope and 70 metres with scope? So call it another day pessimistically for them >to be ready and able to continue into Saudi Me: Rethinking my earlier statements, even if Iraq had invaded Saudi Arabia, how far would they have got? Khafji? Dhahran? UAE? Muscat, Oman? The only forces Iraq had for mobile operations was the Guard and some regular units. Their supply units weren't set up for 300 hundred km thrusts. The US would still have landed somewhere, built its forces up. The ground war would have taken longer. Not so much one rolling offensive, more like a couple with pauses for supplies to catch up. Invading one Arab country was bad enough for Iraq's standing. Confronting the 'Great Satan' (The USA) and attacking Israel with Scud's kept Arab support high for Iraq. The Netherlands has it from 1994. Canada and Denmark are the two other users. C-7A1 Sight bracket added instead of carrying handle. C-8 Equiv to M4 with full auto. Replacing the C-1 SMG (30 rd version of the UK 9mm Sterling SMG) C-8A1 Sight instead of carry handle. Used by Dutch SF. Also the C-7 LSW is mentioned. I'm not sure whether Canada uses this or not, but the Dutch Marine Corps use the C-7A1 LSW (Yes the sight instead of the carry handle). It has a quick release barrel with a bipod. Length is 1020mm, 625 rds/min, using 30 rd magazines, weighs 5.8 kg empty, 6.2 kg full. The US M16 seems well liked by special forces. The UK SAS used the M16A2 in 1991, during the Gulf War. The Australian 1st Commando Regiment uses the M16A1 instead of the F88 Steyr, because the M16 is more water resistant. The M203 is another excellent idea. Look at all the clones worldwide. If 75 meters is around 800 meters (about average for a 7.62 NATO sniper rifle) than 70 meters would be closer to say 600-700 (70) which I feel is closer to the mark. Besides how long is the OICW 223 barrel compared to that of a M-16A2? That would also give you some detai of range as well... I appreciate the info though...just a minor sticking point from me... There are many coast/river cities too. Lets think that crew of that ship is escaped from mental hospital, and the Captain think that he is Napoleon or somelike. "Napoleon" isnt stupid and he has been in Army many years, just like his crew. (Thus they are good shooters and so on) >Okei, >Now we need somekind reason why this "Napoleon" is attacking to the city. Maybe its revenge or something very odd reason. (Suggestions?) And we must invent how charaters get involved too. (Maybe "Napoleon" wants to hire players, and players dont invent his mental sickness before its too late...coult be very funny...) I'm looking again, but seem too remember that the OICW was breached different or something, can't remember. Also how did you come up with your IFR for the 20mm, and I THINK the Pen should be 2 because it mentioned a new body armor type that it defeated. Not sure if the new body armor type was better than standard or just lighter etc.. Also for the sites is the 2 aimed shots for all ranges or just short? I remember someone asking a while back if there was an archive of messages sent to this list. I did some searching and could not find one myself. So to remedy this, I have started archiving the messages I've received since I signed up for the list about a month ago and have been saving all the messages. When I receive a message off of this list, I then forward it to my ListBot account onto a public accessible Archive. You can access this archive on my website (it's on my links page). So far I have 50-some messages and will be updating it hopefully every week with new messages (as time permits).
