The rest of the 2.0 and 2.2 What I did, is I use the d20 system, which I like, IMO 5% intervals are sufficient. However, I use the old experience system: the players mark the usage of their skills, and they are raised one tenth at a time according to the old system. > systems were probably better as you had much more stuff in them, except > I thought they needed the map of Poland included with the 1.0 version. I think the map was included in the new versions. It's just inside the book and in black-and-white -- the original map was of course a lot better. However, I have found the map in general to be a bit too vague. Using a road atlas helps a great deal in identifying forests, additional roads, villages, etc. - --------------------------------------------- : Perfect is : Matti M. Maybe some adventures more along the lines of staying in one place and building civilization -- the old Advanced Recon book for Palladium Games' Recon rpg used to have such adventures. While I can understand many people might want to know what happens in between 2000 and 2300, I don't. I don't own 2300, but shouldn't it have a general timeline already anyhow? I'm glad to have an "open ending" for the Twilight:2000 war so my players can do what they want to. When I played TW myself, my character had this grand plan to bring peace to the Middle East (RDF sourcebook, King's Ransom). Of course he got killed before getting anything done (except killing Soviets), but anyhow... > Q3. Partially this was corrected with the Eastern Europe sourcebook, but I have to say it was quite poor or would have needed adventures to support it. So we need: - - more info on the Baltic shore in Poland - - maybe some info on Scandinavia -- as a matter of fact, there is quite a good sourcebook on the Nordic countries available, published in Finland and has official status from GDW, which I would be more than willing to translate into English... - - some adventures in Germany (& more info than is available in Going Home) as many players tend to take that route to get out of Poland - - adventures for the trip south of Poland to the Mediterranean, another often used escape route There's sufficient amounts of equipment, IMHO, but I'd like to see adventures for Merc:2000, preferably a bit longer ones than those printed in Challenge magazine, and in campaign form. - --------------------------------------------- : Perfect is : Matti M.
