What direction would you like to see the game go in with regards to plot line? Obviously WW-III can't last forever and with 2300AD just around the corner . . .* I would like to see the transition from T2k to 2300. Some of the history of the different countries similar to what's there now, but extrapolated out to 2300. I was told via rumor hotline that the T2K/2300 *universe* came out of some wargaming done by the GDW playtesters. If this is so, I would really like to see how the results came to be what they are. Along these lines and if there were a Twilight's Dawn 2200, would there be an evolution of the weapon systems? With 2300 and T2k drawn from the same *universe*, will there be convergence of the two systems? Conversion rules? I would also like to see other area reference material, similar to the Bangkok book. If no *crossover* material are going to be produced, then I would like to see geographical areas like South America, South Africa, and so on. Will there be a Challenge-like periodical for T2K/Merc2k? 2300? - --norm fenlason ------------------------------ From: Darryl Adams Date: Tue, 25 Jun 1996 20:50:24 +1000 Subject: Re: Future Game Directions On Fri, 21 Jun 1996, Rob Miracle wrote: > Ok, the list may still be small, and I may not be the right person to > actually ask the question that I am about to ask. Are there any serious deficencies in the rules that need to be addressed? The character generation was very good, the basic combat rules passable, and the vehical rules usable compared to V1.0 > > Q2. The problem is that it was a combat game, as was Dark Conspiracy. No matter what you did, you expected to kill things, blow things up or steal things. Perosnally i would like to see 2300 converted to the rules, but that is just my pro 2300 stance :-) > > Q3. Were there any gaping holes in the TW2K product line like no Naval > supplements etc.? I as a rule dont realy buy suppliments, as I pefer to do my games designing based on research. The core background must be strong , else I wont bother with it. (I am also a believer of rules for genre. Dont ask me to play CP2020 without guns, Paranioa seriously, or 2300 with a unified earth. Good background and rules that work will get my money) >----------------------------------------------------------------------------< Darryl Adams dtadams@ar.com.au "But as a Mistral employee once told me, Your only as good as your fans" TISM : Play Mistral for Me ------------------------------ End of twilight2000-digest V1996 #14 ************************************
