It was quite heavily "recommended" in the Vistula series of adventures, for the climactic battle in the end. I've never used the rules, though, and seem to recall them leaving too little choice for the players. Oh yes, of course it was for the first edition rules as well." I have found the Striker II rules to be a good mesh for fighting the fireteam-level combats. The T2k weapons translate to Striker II well. For those not familiar with it, it is similar to Command Decision in play. My only problem is the scale. 25-mm figures with 1cm = 10m. System is better used with microarmor. - --norm fenlason normf@wegener.com ------------------------------ From: Matti Aistrich Date: Thu, 13 Jun 1996 16:18:50 +0300 (EET DST) Subject: Re: twilight2000-digest V1996 #4 On Thu, 13 Jun 1996, Rob Miracle wrote: > Tantalus purchased the rights to TW2K, DarkConspiracy, and 2300AD. > > Rob Miracle > Tantalus Inc. I don't have any information on our plans. I think we are still in a "assess what you have" state. But then I am just a programmer. . . I'm not supposed to know anything.... Tantalus itself, is a developer of online computer games. Which is what I do. (besides run these lists in my spare time :-) Rob Rob - -- Rob Miracle Tantalus Inc. Yes, there are a few new surprises, but those who are familiar with the old module will find it a little predictable. : ) Loren Wiseman ------------------------------ From: marcher@cccp.net (Mark Archer) Date: Fri, 14 Jun 1996 10:31:22 +0200 Subject: [none] You could always do it like 2300, they had modifiers on your education based on you Intelligence (and Determination, but it didn't make the transfer). I've always seen Education as a way of showing information not covered by your training. Like the masses of useless trivia the average roleplayer gathers. Oh and I thought Twilight Nightmares was smart, so unpack you minigun and remember if it can bleed you can kill it ! -Mark ************************************************* Mark Archer marcher@cccp.net "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." - Oscar Wilde ************************************************* ------------------------------ End of twilight2000-digest V1996 #6 ***********************************
